As an alternative to the regular, hectic, hustle and bustle of the holiday season, you don’t want to miss a visit to Woodland Village in Clermont (Dennis Township). Located on Route 9, right outside of Cape May Court House and a stone’s throw from all of the coastal and bay shore towns, this beautiful and secluded village truly has something for everyone.

From art to antiques, ice cream and bagels, specialty gifts and decor, this little hidden gem of a shopping village is an ideal destination to spend a day leisurely shopping in a peaceful setting.
Adjacent to the Village is the Garden and Green House Center where you can not only enjoy the beauty of the garden accents and plants and flowers of the season, you can also bring some home with you for all of your holiday decorating needs.
Their website invites you to “stroll through the Wisteria draped pavilion and along the impeccably landscaped paths, and discover 17 unique shops, open throughout the year.”

Shops include the Red Door Gallery, Studibagel’s Garden Cafe, Wild Magnolia Boutique, Celtic Irish Gifts and La Cle Rose along with a number of other charming small businesses.

In addition to a unique shopping experience, the Village offers special events. Their annual tree lighting event will take place on Nov. 28, to kick off Black Friday and Small Business Saturday shopping. Kids and families can get their picture with Santa and find that special gift or treat in one of the awesome shops.
One shop in particular that is a fan favorite is Buddy’s Ice Cream. Buddy’s Ice Cream Truck was a staple in Ocean City for 20 years and in 2020 they opened their shop in Woodland Village. We had the sweet pleasure of indulging in Buddy’s at our family’s campground last summer and it was delicious!
