The Potato Homestead is a 15-acre no-spray farm in Woodbine, Cape May County, run by husband and wife Rob and Alex McKeage. Last year, we encountered their booth often at farm markets and festivals all over South Jersey and we knew we wanted to feature them in our paper. The couple grows pesticide-free vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers (and of course potatoes!) for farmer’s markets, home delivery and wholesale. They do not use any pesticides, chemicals, GMOs or synthetic fertilizers. They offer a variety of baked goods and pantry items – herbs, spices, baking mixes and canned goods made with products from their farm – as well as handmade wood dishes. They offer a subscription-based Community Supported Agriculture program, and this year they’ll be running their own summer nature camps, how fun! (See their graphic for more information).
