SOUTH JERSEY FARM SPOTLIGHT: Abigail Mandel

Right now we’re working on our next print issue, which will feature a heaping helping of content about the farms, farmers, farm markets and farm workers that help South Jersey put the garden in Garden State.

For that reason, we’ve decided to turn our Community Spotlight features completely over to that category for a while. So without further ado, let’s shine a light down on the farm!

South Jersey Farms’ Abigail Mandel

South Jersey Farms is a family-owned-and-operated animal farm in Marlton that’s home to many different kinds of livestock, poultry, and other small animals.

Abigail Mandel has been working on the farm her whole life along with her sisters Sarah and Madeline. Abigail is the first person on the scene for any emergencies on the farm such as if the chickens stray too far, a goat has its head stuck in the fence, or if a sheep is in labor and needs help delivering a lamb.

She’s always doing something agricultural and loves every part of being a farm girl!

If you visit the farm you’ll likely find her out in the pastures or in a coop. She enjoys offering advice to homesteaders and even going out in the field, assisting others with their livestock.

Abigail also works at Tractor Supply and in her free time tends to her beautiful garden growing flowers, vegetables and herbs!

Follow South Jersey Farms on Facebook, and if you stop by, be sure to say hello to Abigail!
