Cumberland Players

This seems to be the year of big landmark anniversaries for theaters around South Jersey, and that remains true in Cumberland County, where the Cumberland Players find themselves celebrating the 80th birthday for their company.

To honor that landmark, the company is holding a variety show and 80th season kickoff event on March 15. The event was originally scheduled to take place last month but was postponed due to snow.

The company also just wrapped on its run of “The Importance of Being Earnest,” but will soon return with a production of “The Last Five Years,” coming April 17-26.
