Next year will be Cowtown’s 100th year of bringing a unique shopping experience to South Jersey, so it’s safe to say they must be doing something right.

The twice-weekly farmers market in Pilesgrove (just outside of Woodstown) features indoor shops and outdoor flea market vendors, with a total of more than 400 places to shop and eat during any given market day.
The market is open year-round on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
On Saturdays in the summer, Cowtown also plays host to its famous rodeo, but they’ve closed that attraction for the season.
In keeping with its rural setting and agricultural roots, the produce at Cowtown, even through the fall, is among the standout categories for shopping.
The market’s website hosts a blog, where they recently described perfectly what an autumn visit to Cowtown is like.

“Fall is a great time to browse the market’s wide selection of local vendors,” the site reads. “You’ll discover handmade candles, warm knitted scarves, seasonal décor, and one-of-a-kind crafts that make great gifts for the upcoming holidays.
“Cowtown Farmers Market is open year-round, but the fall season is truly something special. Grab your favorite sweater, bring your shopping bag, and spend the day discovering what local fall flavor really means.”
The country bounty is spreading beyond Cowtown itself, as newer shopping opportunities are popping up across the street.
Cowtown Cowboy Outfitters, a long-standing western wear store has been joined by The Marketplace at Cowtown, a recently-opened market to find local eats and gifts. Those shops will soon be joined by Bullhide Brewery which has been under development on that side of the road as well.
The Marketplace’s signature cowboy bott decor graced the cover of our November issue. Check it out below!
