Two Haunted Happenings Coming to Millville’s Levoy Theatre

The Levoy Theatre in Millville has two productions coming to town this month to help get you in the spooky spirit.

First up is the “Vampire Circus,” a travelling family-friendly show that blends aspects of a Cirque Du Soleil-type performance with a Tim Burton-esque style.

“Enjoy a phenomenal night of live entertainment, based on the multidisciplinary skills of international performers showcasing theater, dance, and gymnastics,” says the company’s website. “This amazing show pushes the physical boundaries of human performance and leaves audiences amazed, astounded, and astonished.”

The show visits the Levoy for one night only on Sun., Oct. 12. Doors to the theatre open at 5 p.m., and the 90-minute show begins at 6 p.m.

Later in the month, on Sat., Oct. 25, the theatre welcomes a showing of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

The beloved cult-classic film is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and its showing at the Levoy will be accompanied by a live “shadow cast”  performance by the Transylvania Nipple Production Company out of Philadelphia.

Over the years, the film has become known for midnight showings, where audiences dress up, participate along with the movie, and even throw props at the screen .The theatre asks that attendees not bring their own props, however, as kits will be available for sale.

This showing of the film starts at 8:30 p.m., with a pre-show video at 7:15 p.m. and a live pre-show beginning at 8 p.m. Doors to the theater open at 7 p.m.

The film is rated R and the production overall is geared towards a more mature audience.
