Our new print issue features “Goodbye Summer, Hello School!” content about the end of the summer season and gearing up for back to school in our communities.
For that reason, we’ve decided to put a strong focus on our Community Spotlight category of “Education.” Schools are truly the backbone of so many communities. So without further ado, let’s shine a light on our teachers, administrators, support staff and parent volunteers who selflessly dedicate themselves to our kids!
Mr. Corcoran was nominated by Sally Rutherford, the Adult and Community Education Coordinator at Cape May County Tech.
Dan Corcoran, owner of Righter’s Auto and Towing in Wildwood, brings a wealth of real-world automotive expertise to the classroom. With a passion for teaching and a talent for breaking down complex repair techniques into understandable lessons, Dan has been successfully instructing adult students since the Winter/Spring 2024 semester.
This fall, Dan is expanding his impact by launching a new class for students ages 15-18 who are either aspiring automotive professionals or simply want to learn how to work on their own car. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on technical skills and explore the fundamentals of automotive repair and maintenance.
Classes will be held in the evenings, making them accessible to students from across the area. Registration for both youth and adult automotive classes opens August 13 at capemaytech.com or by calling 609-380-0241. Classes begin the week of September 15, with another session starting in mid-October.
