Right now we’re working on our next print issue, which will feature our summer “Down the Shore” content about the beach towns, communities, businesses and people that help South Jersey put the state on the map for the best beaches, resorts, events and attractions in the country.
For that reason, we’ve decided to turn our Community Spotlight feature over to the special category of “Beach Patrol” for a while. So without further ado, let’s shine a light on our beaches and those who keep them safe!
Lieutenant David Giulian
David was submitted to us by Chief Matt Wolf.
David is the newest Lieutenant of the Avalon Beach Patrol, having just been promoted this May.
He is a 7th year lifeguard and also competes for the patrol in doubles rowing and will kick off competition season on Monday July 7th at the annual Cape May County Lifeguard Championships. “He was a key part of the South Jersey Championship team last summer,” Wolf said.
“Monday is the first one of the racing season so we have high expectations,” Giulian said.
In his time away from the beach, Dave is a rising senior at TCNJ where he is an all-conference linebacker and also a wrestler.
Thanks for keeping the Avalon Beaches safe Dave and best of luck in the competitions!
