Right now we’re working on our next print issue, which will feature our summer “Down the Shore” content about the beach towns, communities, businesses and people that help South Jersey put the state on the map for the best beaches, resorts, events and attractions in the country.
For that reason, we’ve decided to turn our Community Spotlight feature over to the special category of “Beach Patrol” for a while. So without further ado, let’s shine a light on our beaches and those who keep them safe!
Lifeguard Kalyn Baron
Kalyn was submitted to us by Captain Ed Schneider.
Kalyn Baron is a rookie on the Wildwood Beach Patrol. She is about to start her senior year at Cape May Technical School for Allied Medical. Kalyn hopes to pursue a career as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in order to help others with their mental health struggles. Away from guarding the beach she still enjoys swimming and has done so competitively since she was 5 years old. On days off she enjoys surfing and chilling out with friends…where else? The Beach!

Public Servants: Elected Officials and Support Staff at every Government Agency serving South Jersey at the Municipal, County, State and Federal levels
